Ok after reading the thread about who fits on FJ I accept I won't be able to ride but will I be missing anything else? The impression I get is that the line for FJ takes you through the castle, can I join the line and see the castle then not even attemp to get on the ride. Is there an exit before the actual ride? Also are there any other rides in HPW that I might be able to ride? I don't really have a problem not being able to do the ride but I want to be able to do something with my family. :)

you can take the castle tour and not go thru the ride line.

or you can go with the family thru the ride line and take a pass at the time to get on the ride.

dueling dragons, and the smaller roller coaster are located within the parry hotter section.

once they expand, there should be more rides.
but don't hold your breath for that anytime soon.

i'm sure it will take a couple of years before that completely happens.

Dragon Challenge might be a challenge as well. DH can't ride either because of size.

But there's the small and quick coaster, Flight of the Hippogriff, that's fun!!!

I don't ride Dragon Challenge due to fear, and FJ made me sick on our first visit, but I still enjoyed just being in the area so much that it was still well worth it. I think we visit WWofHP every day during our universal visits.

I don't think I'd go on Dragon Challenge either, I'm a chicken. Just wanted I could easily leave the line for FJ before the ride. :thumbsup2

The exit for the ride is right next to where you get on the ride, there is also a child swap waiting room there. The exit for the tour line is a side door that is also accessible from the regular line. You can either go out the side door (you will miss the Sorting Hat if you do this) or go straight up to where the cars are and ask the TM if you can wait by the child swap area for the other riders to get off. Or, you can wait for them downstairs in the gift shop - I think the ride itself lasts about 5 minutes.

There is also a test seat right by the earlier exit, if you want to try it and see if it might work.

It's pretty easy to make a quick exit before the actual ride, if you want to wait with your group in the regular line. I used it a couple of times when I took my big camera through to get photos (no loose articles allowed on the ride).
