Are there any hidden perks for Concierge Suites?

This is our first trip and not sure what to expect. Would very much appreciate info on the suites and any extra perks.

Thanks in advance!

And some people take great joy in talking about their great perks while being as vague as possible.

I've not had any hidden perks in my time in Concierge, but then again, I don't bug the hosts for stuff all the time. We're pretty darned low maintenance, to be honest.

Thanks Phinz, I love your tag line!

We have done concierge on the Wonder a few times. We are also low maintenance. The only time I actually asked for something was I wanted to taste the scones from the High tea they used to do in Palo. I asked if it could be our afternoon snack. We came back to the cabin to find a wonderful tea party set up. Kind of like the mad hatters unbirthday party. and we asked the shore side team to arrange for caffeine free soda in our room.
Its also a different experience between sailing the classic ships and the newer ships.
wishing you an amazing trip:flower3:

In general, the concierge team are souped up customer service folks. Honestly I'm not trying to be vague, but the assistance my family needs very well will not be what you need.

Here's a specific example. On our first trip, my dad took his phone to castaway cay. All day. Even in the ocean. :crazy2: The hosts got rice to try to dry it out and also gave him an additional free internet package. I would hope you won't need those services, but they went out of their way.

Not a hidden perk per se, but a new service from last time is that you can order your photos via an iPad in the lounge rather than fight the crowds in Shutters. I haven't seen it mentioned much, but we appreciated it.

Hidden perks we can recall is a plush stitch for DS on pirate night with a load of chocolate coin booty. Not really a hidden perk but we loved the nuts that were delivered one of the early days and told host we loved it as we are more savory snack people and then always got the nuts with the other daily treat delivered thereafter.
Got Happy BDay magnets for DS. DS is caffine free and they stocked us with Gingerale and sparkling water in lieu of cokes, but that was a direct request. That is all I remember, aside from the wonderful times we all had.

Think of it as anything you would need to go to the front desk for, the concierge team will do it for you and save you a bunch of time and hassle. Basically, anything you need or want, they will take care of it. On our last trip, our OBC from our travel agent didn't show up on our account. The concierge team contacted shoreside services, contacted the travel agent, etc. and got it all squared away. I would have had to devout a fair amount of time if I had needed to take care of it myself. Sadly, we don't sail concierge anymore, but it is a very nice experience!

There are 2 - one hour "happy hour" per day with open bar (on ships with a lounge). This can save some $$ especially on a 7 day cruise.
Concierge has its own meet-and-greet with a character once per sailing. This can be fun because there are so few people there and you can take as many pics as you like.
The lounge has unlimited bottled water which saves having to buy the package (if you're a big water drinker).
There is free for use sunscreen in the outside lounge area.
The hosts take care of all "Guest Service" items, so you never have to stand in line

We decided that we wanted to change our Palo booking on the second day of the cruise. Concierge made it happen even though I think they had to pull some strings. We loved the Concierge lounge on the Dream. We spent more time there (other than sleeping) than we did in our cabin.

Has anyone asked for other types of soda to be put into their cabins?
And do they have Baileys in the lounge? 8-)

I don't remember if I've seen Bailey's in the lounge, but I bet if you ask for it you'll be able to get it in there. We asked for ginger ale and green apples in our room for our next cruise since my wife's first night is always a bit rough. We were told that they should be in there when we get there.

Gingerale for DS- caffine issues they were there and always replenished

My favorite perk is the quiet...many times I'm the only one on the concierge sun deck. I also love love love their mint iced tea that is put out on the sun deck and Evian facial spray. We are consistently alone when dining (whoo hoo) and when we had an odd table location Danny called the head server and made sure our table was in a better location for the remaining nights (I didn't complain as much as mention it in passing but he is a man of action!). Perhaps these aren't huge perks...but nice.

We asked for Mountain Dew when we sailed on the Wonder. It was stocked for us the whole cruise.

Free special coffees in the Cove - I do tip them when I get a free one.
They will call ahead of the cruise and help with sign ups about 120 days out. You get to sign up early for activities and excursions.

I believe that the free coffees are only on the Wonder how that all the other ships have concierge lounges.

Also, not everyone will get a phone call. It's a good idea to send an email BEFORE the 120 day point so they can schedule all your requests. You can start emailing at 125 days.
