My husband and I are looking into buying a DVC. Is there any special promotions going on right now?

I have been debating about buying into DVC for about 4 months now and have finally been won over by their recent incentive deal. Having just spoken with my DVC sales rep I can tell you that they are offering an $8 per point discount along with a bonus of the amount of points you purchase for last year, 2005, by designating your "use year" somewhere in the Fall - the big advantage to this offer is that you get all the points from last year without having to pay the 2005 membership dues and then get your full amount of points Fall 2006 in whatever month your use year ends up starting. When I was initially interested in buying into Saratoga Springs the incentive was 15% off point cost. That deal recently expired and I was discouraged about buying until I learned of this promotion and decided I had better take advantage of this before the incentive ends and point prices are increased at the end of Spring 2006. I am hoping to have my purchase complete by next week and start planning my next vacation to WDW (I was there for my first trip Nov 2005 for my honeymoon). If you call the DVC sales line they may be able to elaborate on the information I have provided.

Any info on how long that promotion will be lasting?

end of the month until the price goes up. Then we don't know what kind of discount will be offered.

I just read on another thread that DL annual passholders have a 15% discount until April 2006. Not sure how correct this is.
