It didn't look like there are, so I was going to book one at WDW before the cruise if there isn't.

Thank you for your time.

traditional character breakfast is on the 7-day....

Character breakfasts are held on at sea days & there would need to be three to take care of the three dinner rotations so they are only on the 7 day cruises.

We were on the Wonder 3 day in May and there indeed was a Character breakfast on the first morning. I'm sure it would be the same for the 4 day. It was with Captain Hook, Chip, and Minnie Mouse in Parrot Cay. Actually really great. Not crowded at all.

Enjoy!! :boat:

This is the FIRST time I have heard anyone mention a character meal on the Wonder.

Anyone else had this experience? I'd love to know because I'll make it a point to hit PC for breakfast on the first morning, if that's the case, when we cruise in three weeks!

I don't recall if it was in the Navigator or not. I will be happy to look at our old one's from May tomorrow and let you know. We knew about it immediately at dinner the first night. Our server Egi told DD4 about it when he was telling us what was on schedule for the next day. It was all DD could talk about that night..."having b'fast with Minnie tomorow." I will tell you that she was NOT a fan of Capt Hook...he was a little scary even for me!

I just can't imagine that we were soooo very lucky as to be the only Wonder cruise in DCL history to have a character b'fast. If that was the case then...luck us! :cool1:

Surely, you weren't the only trip to get character meal, right? And, I'll have to agree with you! If you WERE--boy were you lucky! LOL...

Let me know what you find out on your Navigator. I'm glad to hear your server told you about it; I thought you just happened upon it...it mustn't have been too publicized because you said it was fairly empty....maybe most people eat breakfast somewhere other than PC....don't know about that one...anyway..you were just plain lucky! :)

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll look for your post tomorrow!

I've checked the Navigator and nope, no mention of the character b'fast...but we sure did enjoy it. I say ask your server, ask everyone...and the first morning aboard ship, head to PC for breakfast.

Let me know when you return. :boat:

Well, NOW you KNOW I'm gonna drive everyone in my party talking about this--making sure everyone knows what the plans are on that first morning!

Good grief! I swear I am so obsessive compulsive!! I must have that OCP thing you all keep talking about on these boards!

Thanks for tip; I will let you know when I return what happend!

It isn't a "character breakfast" Its a character appearance. It just happens to occur during breakfast time at Parrot Cay. We had it on the first day on the four day Wonder as well. Check the character listings.

Yep, very uncrowded. Most people haven't figured out the meet and greets yet.

WHATEVER it's called, if it's morning time, you're eating breakfast, and a character is in the room--I call that a CHARACTER BREAKFAST!

LOL!!! And, yes--I am so happy to hear that people havent' gotten this yet! However, I will be posting all your information to my cruise's thread! They will be so excited to hear of this little secret!

I was sorry to hear we would have to take the 7-day cruise to get a "character breakfast," but thanks to you guys, I think I can get one now on the Wonder!

How can I ever say, "Thanks?"

Do keep in mind that its subject to change. It happened on our cruise. It happened on someone elses. That doesn't mean it will be scheduled for your cruise. i.e. don't promise the kids.

We saw characters in PC during the embarkation lunch as well.

These "odd off" character appearances on the cruise do tend to be the best. Pluto by the pool on CC day was great....about three children around - everyone else on the Cay.

I have to agree with you--I told my kids it was POSSIBLE we could have a character breakfast....

And, you're right--reading back over a few threads I'm subscribed to, I saw where several people had characters during their lunches at PC....

So, hopefully...we'll see some characters at PC too! Thanks for the advice!

ITA!! The cast members on the Wonder also called it a "Character Breakfast."

And do NOT be upset if you do not see it listed under character meetings/appearance's on the Navigator, it was NOWHERE on ours. As I said, we thought it was common knowledge b/c our server would run down a list of activities each night for the following day and this was the first activity he mentioned for our first morning. Thank you Egi!! :cool1:

No thanks needed for the info. Just go, enjoy and let us see pics when you return. Have a WONDERful trip!! :boat: :boat: (and breakfast ;) )

Here are two pic of My DD from our Character b'fast on the Wonder in May.

they have always had character appearances at at least one breakfast on all of my 3 or 4 day cruises. It's not advertised though, and only happened at Parrot Cay buffet breakfast, not up at the Beach Blanket.

The 7 day felt more like a real "character" breakfast to me, because the servers got into it, and it was a table service breakfast, but I got just as many photos during the Wonder character appearances as I did during my official character breakfast during my 7 day cruises.

On the 12/12/04 4-night Wonder we "ran into" Chip and Dale at breakfast at PC on the "at sea" day. It was not expected, but lots of fun. I was there alone with my 2 sons, and we went back to the rooms to tell grandparents, DH and DD they missed the "character breakfast"!

I guess that is part of the magic of the whole experience. One day we walked into Alice in Wonderland walking, all alone, in the corridor outside of Shutters. She said "I've been looking for someone to talk to!", and talked to the kids for quite a while. I swear it was like a DCL TV commercial seeing her like that!
