I'm treating myself to a new phone so I'm having a little look around, unfortunately I can't afford an iphone but I've found an android one that I quite like and was wondering if there were any disney/florida/holiday planning or countdown apps for it?
This is all very new to me!
Thanks :goodvibes

Yes the girl at carphone warehouse in Arnold showed us them when we were buying an android phone hope this helps.

I have one called Disney World Wait Times Lite from Undercover Tourist. It has parade times and wait times for all the parks/rides as well as menus.

(Toy Story Midway Mania is currently a 75 minute wait)

slightly off topic but are there any apps for blackberry too? I've only ever seen iPhone ones.

On Android I have something called Disney Vacation Countdown, which is just a homescreen widget that shows the number of days until your holiday over a silhouette of Mickey's head. Very basic, but it doesn't cost anything and it actually sits quite nicely on top of my phone's Disney Monorail wallpaper (a resized Creative Commons picture from Flickr).

I've also got the Lines app from TouringPlans.com, which is great, but you need a TouringPlans.com subscription and you're going to need a data connection to use it in the parks and that could end up being costly.

I've aslo got something called Disney Pixar Puzzle, which is a free picture tile sliding game where you make up images from all the Pixar films.

Tha main problem I can see is that the useful apps (like wait times etc.) need internet access, and that seems to be prohibitively expensive, unless you can get a local SIM, but I have run into a brick wall trying to find out...

These are the same things I have been trying to find out myself as I am researching to find my next phone and wanted to upgrade or switch carriers before my next trip if possible.

Blackberry Disney Park apps (the few that there are) all have low ratings.

When I go to the main android market web site all it has are tabs labeled "Featured" "Top Free" & "Top Paid" nowhere to search or anything :confused3

So far I have seen mentioned Undercover Tourist, Touring Plans, and some Upinpoint maps.

I also don't understand why Disney would have their own app and not have it offered on the higher end (smart) phones
