Are there a lot of people who don't receive ME stuff by departure date?

We leave on the 28th and I was wondering if Disney keeps all their ME stuff straight and everone receives their tags/info on time? This is the first time we will be using them and I can only fathom not getting my tags and it being a big mess.

We didn't get any of our ME stuff prior to our trip in November--in fact, it arrived at our house 2 weeks after our return home!!

Not a problem, though. You just go to the ME counter, tell them your name, describe your luggage, and they put you on a bus. . .

Worked great for us--hope you have the same experience--don't sweat not getting the ME package before you leave, I think it's pretty common not to!

But do I have to retrieve my own luggage and take it with me to the counter? My luggage is navy and I am sure it looks like 50,000 other bags out there.

If you don't get your packet before you leave (and I've gotten mine usually about 10 days beforehand), you can just give the DME people your baggage claim receipts.I believe they take down the numbers or such, but I wouldn't just le them take the actual receipts in case you needed them in the event your bags got lost. I try to tie something out of the ordinary onto my bags to help identify them if need be.

Well of course you did!!! In June I got mine about 30 minutes after I had made up my own tags, for our trip the next day!!! Murpheys Law. Have a great trip!!! BE sure to come back and let us all know how it all went.
