Are the water parks fun if you don't swim?

absolutely! i have never been to disney but just recently went to one here in Texas and i had a blast! had a lazy river and all rides when you landed, the water only came up to to like 3 -4 feet....i plan on attending the disney waterparks when i go this august

I am the Queen of the Lazy River, I can't swim to save my own life (which is a whole other thread) but I can take laps on that thing all day long! I have a two year old so I will also spend time sitting in the kids area.

Me and my boyfriend have a blast everytime at Typhoon Lagoon...and he doesn't know HOW to swim!

The water at just about all of the slides, lazy rivers etc. are only about waist high. The exceptions are the wave pools but you have to go way out for it to be over your head.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

As long as you are more than two feet tall you do not be able to swim to enjoy all of the attractions at the water parks.:rotfl:

Even Crushin' Gusher - but thank goodness I read the notice that stated how deep the water was BEFORE we went down the slide, or I'm quite sure I would have drowned in 3 feet of water. We flew off the inner tube upside down and I panicked for a second, but then told myself "JUST STAND UP!" :thumbsup2

I can't swim and I have had fun at both of the waterparks. I am just careful about the slides that I do. Also, I send my DH down before me and he slowly exits waiting for me to make sure I don't fall out or attempt to drown myself is a few feet of water.

Absolutely. The lazy river is not deep at all (some people just walk it and don't use the intertubes) There are family slides too and none of that is deep. For the big wave pools, just do what my mother always did at the beach - sit at the "entrance" of the "beach" and enjoy the very low waves as they come in. Trust me, there are a LOT of people doing the same thing. And a LOT of kids who can't/won't go out any further.

Now that I think about it, there really isn't any true swimming at any water park. It's more like playing in the water.
