Are the Rice Krispy treats vegetarian?

Marshmallow is made with gelatin, and my daughter is a vegetarian, so she can't eat these any more.

Does anyone know if the treats sold at Goofy's Candy Co. are made with gelatin or not? She would love to have a vegetarian krispy treat.

I haven't been there so I haven't looked at the ingredient labels, but in 20 years of vegetarianism I haven't found a non-gelatin marshmallow-based crispy treat yet.

For awhile there there were kosher marshmallows in the universe that people said were veggie, but it turned out to be fish gelatin (therefore Kosher, but not vegetarian).

1) Cannot vouch for answer, as the person is not the cook, but the seller
2) But, one of my friends say they are not veg-compliant due to marshmallows.
3) She mentioned that she has seen some in health food stores.
4) I think she said they used marshmallow creme instead of marshmallows. (???)

5) In another vein, my vegan friend says that Rice Krispies are not vegan.
6) She said when making vegan Treats, she substitutes millet for Rice Krispies.

NOTE: I am not sure if this helps a lot, but it is the best that I could find out with three calls.
Plus, I don't know if you are asking for vegetarian or vegan.

We had figured already that we'd probably get the pretzel treats instead, but thought we'd check.

1) Bad news.
2) Got a call-back from one of the baking ladies at the Main Street Confectionery.
3) The "Crisped Riced Treats" at WDW are not vegetarian.
4) They are made with marshmallows.
5) There are three "treats" of which she is familiar.
. . . one hand made at Confectionery, using grocery store sized bagged marshmallows
. . . one made for general sales, with marshmallows printed on master box
. . . one made at Earl of Sandwich, labeled as "Marshmallow Treats"

NOTE: Many locations - CP, MK Dessert Party, Goofy's Candy, Writer's Shop, etc - have individually bagged crispy treats. She is not certain whether these are made FOR CERTAIN from marshmallows. She does "assume" they are marshmallow, since the others are.
