Are the restaurants busier with the free meal plans?

We're not on the plan and usually like to eat at Café Mickey once or twice. Has anyone noticed that the restaurants are significantly busier?
I usually wouldn't book meals until we get there but I'm starting to wonder whether I should be ringing and booking now?

the free meals deals have been out on various country's DLP offers for at least a year or 2 now, so its not a recent thing. If you know where you want to eat, I'd say phone the dining line and book your table (but I'd say that even if there were no free meal deal vouchers ;)).

see how fast resturants fill when free dining is annonced. we usually go then but starting to doubt going again at that time

If your going during a weekend, I would definitely book a restaurant for lunch time and evenings as the parks are busy and there have been long queues for the quick service restaurants.

I always make my reservations in advance just to ensure we have a restaurant table booked.

i would recommend making reservations anyway especially for character dining. while i was there i needed to change reservation on friday morning. we wanted to eat in cafe mickey for lunch on sunday but it was fully booked so had to go in the evening instead.
