Hi,
I am going in Aug to WDW..... :)
I was planning to hang in the pools......a lot....

Are the pool temps regulated in summer like winter....
or do they get so hot that it is not refreshing at all:sad1:
Thanks
Kerri

I can speak for the pool at OKW.. The water in mid afternoon isn't really "cold". Or especially cool. The sun does tend to heat it up a little.
But it's a lot cooler than the surrounding air!!

The pools are really nice in the summer. The pool at the contemporary is very cool, good for any summer day. :thumbsup2

when we stayed at the Pop last september, when it was very hot and humid, the pools (every one of them) were cold. we had thought they were heated at least a little bit, but both my fiancee and i found them to be too cold to enjoy. i'm not sure if this is the same for all of the resorts, but this is what we found to be at Pop.

Have to agree with the above post-Poly pool was awesome last August. We spent half of every day there!:cool1:

I can't wait to try the POR/POFQ pools in the middle of August- I think it will be better than the hot air around us! Plus, I don't think my kids will mind if they were a little cold-they love the water!

Thanks everyone I was hoping to hear this:goodvibes

I'll be spending plenty of time at stormalong bay....
then the pofq pool....I think this time I will check out
the POR pool also....
Thanks

The WL pool was like bath water last Aug. I would have preferred it to be cooler, but what the heck. However, the pool at POR in Nov was not heated. It was so cold, that even trying to get used to it for 20 mins did not work. It was disappointing to not be able to enjoy any of the pools. So if I had a choice, I'd rather that the pool be too warm, than horribly cold. tink

We usually don't visit the pool until later in the day, so I can't speak about how refreshing the water is midday. One thing that nice about going to the pool after a day of touring, is that it takes the weight of walking off your feet, hips and back. After about 20 minutes in the water your body is relaxed and rejuvenated.

We're going to WDW in August this year and I have planned time in the afternoon to either go to the pool or chill in the A/C for a little while during the heat of the day.

Allow me to compliment your cool name. (Do you find you have to spell your name for EVERYONE?!)

2 years ago in July the AKL pool was like bath water. Not refreshing at all.

But, it was still nice to break from the parks. After our 'bath' we had a nice chilly shower to look forward to before heading back to our evening park of choice.

Enjoy!

I'll just have to pray for the cold front in Aug....

I found this thread as I was cleaning up my list of subscriptions. We returned from CBR at the beginning of the week, and the Aruba pool was like bath water later in the day. Still, being in the warm water does do something to relax those tired legs and cool sticky skin from the summer sun and humidity.

We did go one afternoon and it was more refreshing when the day was it's hottest. The water felt cooler, but only because it was so much hotter then.

Might as well update my thread...

Came back on 8-30...

1st few days....pool hot.....no rain for days..

Then came the afternoon thunderstorms:yay:
they really helped cool off the pools....

The rest of the week was much better
