Are The Polynesian Villas no longer available for direct purchase?

Are they actually sold out, or is DVC just pushing new members towards CCV? Also, if there are any points available, because they are advertising Poly Villas, charging rack rate and not offering any promotion discounts? Thanks!

Poly is sold out. That said, you can ask to purchase it direct at $220 per point. No promos. No discounts.

Depends. If you want studios, Poly is a better purchase than CCV. If you need to sleep 5, at CCV that requires a 2BR.

I expect studios to be very difficult at CCV by sell-out. There are a maximum of 84. But they are selling points against the 26 cabins as well. While there is an element of that at Poly, there are more than 300 studios to balance out the bungalows.

Poly's only ~$150ish in resale.

Yeah. But I'd not make price alone my determinant between CCV and Poly, assuming a desire for a studio. If someone plans to travel in fall, CCV will be competitive at 11-months, if not blood sport for times like Wine & Dine and the first two weeks of December. If someone has consistent travel dates, a guaranteed week might be a good idea.

Poly booked fast at 11 for W&D and early December, but not 8:04 fast.

Well, I really like the location of the Poly over CCV, Trader Sams is the best bar in WDW, and the pool is better at the Poly, but I like the CCV cabins over the Poly bungalows, and like the privacy of CCV over Poly, and Christmas is the best at CCV, so I guess it depends on what features you like best.

Bungalows have not proven a big challenge at 7, I would assume cabins will follow suit. Just too dear for points.
