We are thinking about changing our Disney vacation from October 2005 to April 22, 2005 - April 30, 2005. We are use to going in October with low crowds and we also know the parks close early.
I am gathering info. to compare the 2 months. We would be excited if April has longer hours. So far a package costs the same for both April and October so that is not an issue. So please help decide April or October(10/21/05 - 10/29/05). It will be my DS first trip. He is 4 and want to make it as special as possible. We are also use to the low humid climate of October. Would the last week of April be hot(red heads and sun don't match)?

April 18-30 in 2005 is considered "Magic Season", which is one step lower than "Premier Season". The parks will probably be open later than they are in October, however, they will probably be more crowded than they are in October. The entire month of October is considered "Choice Season", which is the 2nd lowest season (Value Season being the lowest).

We have been to WDW at the end of April & the weather is fairly hot, although not unbearable. I actually preferred the weather in October when we were there last year at the beginning of the month. It was less humid.

Honestly, if you don't have to work around school schedules with him just yet, then I would say stick to October. The crowds will probably be lighter & the weather a little cooler. Considering that he is only 4 years old he probably won't be able to stay up late every night anyway, so you may not even be able to utilize parks that are open too late.

Good luck with your decision. :D
