Are the navigators consistent?

I've just saw the navigator for the 5 night NY to Bermuda cruise on someone's twitter and it looks like Tangled is shown on night one. I have a couple's massage booked at the same time of the first showing. We will be on the Oct 29th sailing if that helps at all.

I figured skipping dinner at the MDR to see the second showing of Tangled is an option, but I'm sorta bummed out that I have to choose. For the days at sea all the spa slots look sold out.

So my question is, should I trust this navigator I saw? Will Tangled likely be night one? I thought they usually had some welcome aboard show? Would you skip an MDR for a show? This is our first cruise so we'd like to get the whole experience. But darn it, I really need that massage.

There's not really a welcome aboard show any more. Especially on short cruises. 3 of your 5 nights are the main shows. One night is Pirate night, and the last night is more likely to be the Remember the Magic (farewell) type show.

As to whether I'd skip the MDR for a show - maybe, if the massage was more important than the meal.

Another thing - the shows are also shown on the TV in your room the same night they show in the theater. Different cast (it's video, not live), but the show is the same.

I personally would rather eat at the MDR than get a massage. I've gotten massages on the ships(not a couples one though) and they aren't any better than I can get at home. Plus, I would hate risking that the MDR that I would miss for the massage would be the new Tangle restaurant. It has the characters who come in during dinner and do a short "show". Although I haven't seen it, the reports I've read say that it's fun. If you decide to cancel the massage check back the day before you leave for the cruise to see if they have any new openings. I've also been able to book a massage after getting on the ship, so you could try that also.

Thanks. I ended up rebooking the massage for a day we are in port. This way we won’t miss the show or dinner.

We are doing the 5-day out of San Diego next March. No word on Pirate Night or any other kind. Do we have a shot at a special night or do we lighten our suitcases? Thanks!

We did one of the 5 night cruises and there was a pirate night. But, that's not to confirm that your cruise will. That's something you'll have to look up on your reservation (when you can). It will show when/if there's a pirate night.

We are going for main seating, too, so we will wait until the first of the year to fit these last pieces together...thanks.

We have a 5 night scheduled next March as well. DCL updated the reservation with the pirate night schedule this week. I'd log on and check to see if it's been uploaded.
