Are the Love bugs gone?

I've been reading the recent posts about the plague of lovebugs in Disney the last couple of weeks. Anybody recently back or currently there that can give us an update?

The posts I've been reading are saying they are still there, the latest one was from yesterday. We'll be there Friday, I'll be sure to post an update. Of course that won't help you but there's not much you can do about them but deal with them. My dd will not like them...but, I'll keep reminding her we're in WDW!!

These threads have been popping up all over the boards over the last week or so and to answer the OP, the latest I just read from a DISer who lives in Orlando is that they're still hanging around all over.

I was at Epcot today. The lovebugs were everywhere. Most of the benches were covered with them so you couldn't even sit. We had to walk through swarms of them. They kept flying into us and landing on us. It was disgusting.

Just got back Sunday....they were all over at AK when we arrived. The residents say they only last about 2 weeks. They seem to have lessen when we left...

Alternatively I know a couple of honeymooners out there at the moment and I'm sure they could be viewed as a nuisance too.

Either way, a bucket of cold water should do the job.

We were there on Monday and the bugs were still there full force. Some of the outdoor rides were infested with them. Still didn't spoil our time though.

Those are gross looking bugs! I hope that they are all gone for when everyone is down there. Blehh..I'm getting skeeved out just thinking about them.
