What makes them so heavenly?

We're staying at the Dolphin for the first time this Feb, I've heard rave reviews about these beds, will they live up to all the hype?:magnify:

I can never sleep on hotel beds, I have a lousey back, and for some reason just can't. At home we have a select comfort bed which I love...and can sleep in. When I was at the Swan last Dec. I got a remodeled room, and I fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed, they are just awesome. :)

Thanks Glo! Right now we're sleeping on an Aero bed so I know I'll probably have to be pulled kicking and screaming off of the Heavenly bed! lol. ;)

IMO, yes...they really are heavenly!

It's the kind of bed that you wake up in the same position you fell asleep in! It's so comfortable that you don't even have to move to get comfortable, as soon as you lie down you're there!

They are like sleeping on a big, fluffy cloud! I've never stayed at the Swan or Dolphin, but we always stay at the Peachtree Westin in Atlanta where they have the Heavenly Beds. I almost switched our GF reservation to either Swan or Dolphin b/c of the beds. Enjoy - I'm jealous!;)

I also have trouble sleeping in hotel beds, but I slept great on the Heavenly Beds in San Fransisco. That was with a bad cold, a terrible ear ache from flying, and being 6 months pregnant. The Heavenly Beds are identical at all the Westin resorts, too. If you REALLY want a Heavenly Bed at the Dolphin, make sure you request that. They will still be remodeling in Feb., but should be pretty close to getting done. If they can't guarantee a Heavenly Bed, and it's that important to you, switch to the Swan. All the rooms there have them.:faint:

I dream about the heavenly beds at the Swan! I found them to be dangerous for a stay at WDW as I found it hard to get out of bed in the morning. I actually look for Starwood properties whenever I'm travelling so I have a chance of sleeping in the Heavenly beds or Sweet Sleepers.

sorry to disagree w/ everyone, but my Dh and I just returned from our first trip to the Swan. We picked the hotel b/c of the great price and the refrubishments. We did like the Heavenly Bed, but did not love it. I definitely thought it was an improvement from the typical Disney bed at places such as the YC or Contemp. It was definitely better and it was nice to have a newer mattress and new bedding, but we actually were happy to get home to our mattress. (we just got a new plush sealy mattess and it really is heavenly).

Definitely think that the Westin beds are the best beds in Disney, but they could be even softer.
