Are the fitness centers complementary?

I just received my trip information from AAA. We are staying at All Star Sports.

The package contained a "welcome" book that had a statement that use of the gyms is complementary to WDW resort guests? Is this true?

On my last trip to CSR, the gym had a fee..

Well the last I heard, if you were staying at one of the resorts that has a fitness center, that fitness center is now free. They changed the policy last year and eliminated the fee for people staying at the same resort. But I thought there was still a fee if you were staying at a different resort, maybe someone knows the latest on that. Also I thought that now only Grand Floridian and Saratoga Springs were open to guests not staying at the same resort, but again maybe someone has heard the latest this year and will chime in, hehe.

At one time WDW resorts used to charge a fee for the gyms, but as I understand it they are now free if you are staying at the resort.

Since ASSP does not have a gym, I think you would have to pay $12 per day per guest to use a gym at one of the other resorts.

You might want to look over that statement again as I believe it does apply to resort guests using a health club within their resort.

In May 2004, they took the fitness fee away for those staying in the same resort or "sister" resort. For instance, both Yacht Club & Beach Club guests can use the fitness club there and the Poly and GF share a health club. I don't know if All Stars has their own, but if so, it would be free of charge for you to use. If not, then you're welcome to go to any other health club, but you would have to pay the fee. ( I know that DVC members also have complimentary use of the health clubs).

No, All-Stars do not have a fitness center. You would have to pay $12 per day to use a gym at another resort if you are staying at the All-Stars (or anywherer else without a fitness center).
