Are the DVC 9.11 Flag pins passe now?

I notice that they're going CHEAP on ebay right now, and there aren't even any takers for those! What's up?

I don't think that they are passe' but I think the market definitely got flooded (I would still love to know where that one seller got so many of these pins). By my calculations there were likely more than 100,000 of these pins out there--not a limited edition by any stretch. I suspect the supply has caught up with the demand and the premium price is no longer required.

My understanding of this pin... Is that DVC made them with a supplier that Disney was no longer using. So only half of them were ever shipped to members and the rest where to be destroyed. My guess is that they made their way in to someones hands and on to the market through the supplier.

Not to perpetuate an ugly rumor, but I had heard somewhere along the way that one of the people selling those pins on ebay was a CM. I also remember reading that there were many DVC members who never received their pins ands were angered to see them selling on ebay...anyone else hear this?
