Are the Duggars expecting again?

Well then go for it princess if you think you can come up with something better. Or you could just lighten up and get a sense of humor, it is a joke after all. :P

Well NEWBIE FYI every time a Duggar thread comes up someone has to say that. It get's really old. Her body, her choice.

The Duggars do have beautiful children though, don't they? And they all seem so polite and normal, despite what some people feel in the way they are being raised. It reminds me of an Amish family - they have lots of children and the older ones help out with the younger ones too.:)

Well PRINCESS FYI, I'm actually not a "newbie", I have utilized the Dis for quite a while now to assist in my trip planning and just to escape the everyday realities to experience a lil bit o Disney magic. I just have not made many posts because of exchanges like this one we are having right now.
For people who supposedly love the happiest place on earth so much, there sure are way too many touchy, crabby people here the likes of you ready to jump on and flame others for the tiniest of "infractions."
Oh yes and also FYI Princess, I never said that what she did with her body was anything but her business, she can have 40 or 50 more kids for all I care. Once again I'll point out to you... It was a joke precious.... get a sense of humor and you may just have much less stress in your life. I know I do :)

Actually, she seems to think it's Jim Bob's choice, not hers. And the term is
noob, or n00b. Get your webspeak right.

Strangely though, Amish don't usually have 19 children. Amish average 6-8 I believe. Maybe because they breast-feed? (don't really know if they do or not)

Breastfeeding full-time usually (usually!) stops ovulation for a longer period of time than if you bottle feed. I think the studies of indigenous populations who breastfeed exclusively and wear their babies, etc average 4 years between births, while bottle feeders average 2 years. (probably should say here that i am not saying one is better than the other, just a statistic, folks, don't read anything into this between the lines, please)

I don't watch the Duggar show, if she breast feeds, she must not feed on demand and keep her baby close, etc as indigenous women do or her babies would be more spread apart......:confused3

Well, it's the first time I've heard it. My reaction when I saw that comment was, "huh... good point."

I think Michelle Duggar is a sad excuse for a mother.

LOL! I did get a chuckle out of this one. A child hoarder!:lmao: But not quite the same. The kids are being taken care of and they seem awfully happy. I think I want to be a Duggar. :rotfl:

I'm pretty sure you don't---are you familiar with the Gothard philosophies they follow and the obedience games, including blanket training, that he supports? They're yucky...in my opinion of course.

It seems like this, seriously. If each child were a cat...

If each child was a cat, and has 12 kittens a year, you would have (figures by the Humane Society):
First year: 12
Second year: 66
Third year:382
Fourth year: 2,201
Fifth year: 12,680
Sixth year: 73,041
Seventh year: 420, 715
Eight year: 2,423,316
Ninth year: 13,968,290
Tenth year 80,000,000 cats.

I didn't do the math myself, but copied this from another site. Again, this is a post from someone else, not me. :

The Duggars have already welcomed their first grandchild from Josh, who's now 22. It isn't illogical to think that if all of the children follow their parent's religious "Quiverfull" beliefs, Jim Bob and Michelle could be looking at over 400 grandchildren and maybe 8,000 great grandchildren provided every child shoots for twenty like Mom did. That's a lot of little Duggars.
With numbers like that, I'd say world domination is just a few generations away; sponsored by Discovery Networks and corporate sponsors of course.

When you stop and think about this, it is really sad IMO.

I really doubt all the Duggar kids will marry. I'm sure they'd like to, but they don't "date" and they wait for their future spouse to be "given" to them. Their future spouses must have the same "values" as the Duggar clan. The guys can find younger wives, but the girls can only have kids for so long.... Plus the older girls are pretty busy "helping" at home. JMHO, but I'll bet it's several more years before we see another Duggar wedding....

I disagree.

The Duggars are very involved in activities with others of like mindedness. They have a church that meets in their home with others who believe exactly the same way. They also attend a yearly homeschool convention that lasts many days with those who also do the ATI way of homeschooling. That is where Josh met Anna.

And, there are always the Bates to intermarry with! ;)

VERY TRUE! That man is scary, almost to the point of being considered a cult IMHO. And he doesn't even HAVE a wife or children!~

Can't help but wonder.....since Josh and Anna had no sex, not even kissed before their wedding, what would have happened if Anna had been someone that could not get pregnant? Since they don't believe in outside help to get that way would Josh have stayed with her? What a disappointment to the clan to have someone that wasn't fertile to marry one of them!

Also, sounds like no matter what is going on or how bad Michelle feels, when JimBob says it's time, she's gotta hop in the sack. Do you really think she is excited about it every time!!!!
