are the back cabins on Dream still category 5E?

I am spitballing going on a merrytime in November, the 3 night. We've never been (although this would be cruise 6) and that would be just 2 personal days for me. None of the cabins on the rear of the ship are marked open, but there is a 5E guaranteed verandah available. Have those cabins had the category changed or are they still 5E?

We try to sail 5E as our first choice and yes, those are the extended balcony room at the rear and include several deck levels. GTY is of course a guarantee for that room type or better. We have used 5E GTY several times and always ended up with 5E. Two times we got the handicapped accessible room, the one that is in the corner, huge with the massive balcony.... and large shower.

yes, this is correct. We have 5E for august 30th, but starting in 2022 it becomes part of the 4E category on birth Dream & Fantasy which also comes at a higher price. We have 4 Fantasy cruises booked in 2022, all aft like usual, but now 4E (all the exact same room)

When I asked the CM we were booking with last time on the phone, the formal line she gave was they were trying to "Simplify" things by reducing the number of room categories. Seems like they are trying to just charge more for them.

The rooms are the same size as the others from what I understand when it comes to sq. footage but the extended balcony is the thing that makes up for the price difference.

The 4E staterooms on deck 5 are standard size rooms but with a larger verandah.

The 4E is more square footage than the 5E, plus the 4E is a delux FAMILY oceanview veranda. Dcl pretty much took the lower price 5E and put them into the delux family oceanview veranda rooms, even though they are not currently lsited as family right now.

Like what the heck. I am fine if they want a "extended verandah" category they charge more for. Just don't have it combined as it makes no sense. Just label them separately.

Just to add yet another completely negative thing Disney has done over the past 2 years which makes pretty much 0 sense except them making more money because of the change.

Yea, I’m not happy about paying more For a smaller sq. Footage room than a true 4E. but we enjoy the veranda, so they got me. This room set the bar high for us and there’s no going back now. Ugh.
