Are strollers necessary at the Fort when one doesn't rent a cart?

We have a 3 year old and a 6 year old. I'm thinking we won't need a cart for many of our days there because we'll be at the parks. I'd like to not pay for it for days when we'll be out at parks all day because to me it's not worth $25 each way to and from the marina. There is a weekend we'll skip the parks, so we'll get the cart then.

SO, I'm wondering if we need to bring our own strollers rather than rent at the parks.

Thanks for any suggestions!

We thought it was better to have our own, we bought a lightweight, easy to fold umbrella type that could easily fold up and go with us on the train in the MK and other places like that. It mostly came in handy going from the parks back to FW at night, they become as heavy as whales after that last boat/bus ride back that rocks them to sleep.

Thanks! That was what I was thinking. My kids tend to not need their strollers at parks as much as they do going "home" each night on their way back. Waiting in line for boats, etc, they just get so tired and heavy. I don't know if I want to give up the strollers at the gate on our way out! We'll take our lightweight strollers.

We were there in Sept. with a 1, 7, 9 and 11 year old. It was so nice to have a cart....we were in the parks every day, but it made it so much easier than walking to a loop bus stop, waiting for that bus, then waiting at the main bus stop/marina for our next ride. It was also nice to use to do laundry and go the Trading Post. If you don't have a cart, I would not be without a stroller. Personally, I would not stay there without a cart.

We have a 6 yr old and 1 yr old.

We always bring our stroller for the 1yr old. If DS6 gets tired we can always rent one as you say.

These kids do gain 40% body mass after dark.

Agree on the golf cart. Nice to have but not necessary. Stroller is a must for us (especially with the handy adult beverage holder on top :thumbsup2

Best thing about the stroller is the ride back to FW from MK (or EPCOT if you monorail it), you can leave the little rug rat snug in his stroller the whole way......

139 days to go and we will be back.

Best of luck and have fun whatever you decide.
