Are Space Bags worth it?

I would love to use a few 2-gallon size storage bags for my 2 youngest children's clothes, but I've never seen them. Where are you folks finding these?

I could just see the look of the faces of my nosy neighbors if I was rolling over these bags with my car tires. lol. They'd probably invite 40 of their closest friends over to join in the festivities. lol.

I was able to use 1 gallon for my kids and I packed our clothes in the 2 gallon size. We had a ball packing! I put 1 days outfit in a bag and had a child sit on the bag while I closed it. We really saved room in our suitcases. I found the 2 gallon bags at Target, they were 15 for $2.50. I just handed everyone a bag everyday and when they took out the clean clothes I put the dirty ones in the ziplock bag so it really made my life easy.

Keep in mind that the airlines have really cracked down on luggage weight. So, yes you might can get A LOT more clothes in the suitcase, but if it weights 100 lbs it will be VERY expensive to check.

I have used both "space bags" and Hefty 2.5 gallon. For my money the 2.5 gallons are a LOT better.

Oh I love my space bags. We got ours at Bed Bath and Beyond and they are great! We can pack both kids clothes in one suitcase with those. We have had ours for over a year and use them all the time as hubby travels for work and they have held up wonderfully! They are great for hubby too as he is a big guy, over 6'2 and he can get a lot more clothes in his suitcase and so can I.

It saves room for all those souviners

i just bought 2 1/2 gallon, i believe 14 inches at kmart, you get 14 bags for $3.99. they are the zipper kind by ziplock purple box. i am going to try those for my up coming trip. otherwise if they dont work, ill find something to do with them.
