Are single rider lines helping anyone with the long lines?

Has anyone had success using single rider lines to help alleviate waiting in long lines? We've used single rider as a strategy to manage wait times and I'm wondering if it is still a viable strategy with Genie+ now a thing.

Depends on the time of day, the attraction itself, and luck. Some attractions are better for single riders than others. Also note, that the single ride line isn’t always open.

Really depends on the attraction and timing.

For Smugglers Run, Web Slingers, Grizzly River Run, and Splash Mountain seems to consistently shorten the wait enormously.

For Radiator Springs, it seems to be great early in the day, pretty long in the evening.

For Goofy's Sky School, seems to be a crapshoot depending on the party sizes in the standby/Genie line.

For Incredicoaster and Matterhorn, seems like single rider takes as long or longer than standby.

mel2014 thanks for the rundown on the different rides and what it is like with them. It's good to know about RR being better in the morning.

Sometimes. The Single Rider lines fluctuate a lot. They are almost always shorter than the standby lines, though.

This isn't customary, but the experience was so unexpected I felt the need to post. :)

We were at the parks on Wednesday and sometime in the afternoon decided to join Single Rider at RSR. The stand-by wait was 2 hours and the LL/DAS line was enormously long and backed up as well when we got to the entrance. So we figured it would be one of those longer single rider line days. Usually we get on in 15 min or less, but have definitely waited longer a few times when it was really bad.

We started walking to join the back of the line and a cast member walking towards us said "5 minutes" with a smile. There was no one we could see ahead of us. We zoomed past everyone in the other lines and found THREE people in the single rider line at the ride entrance. Best wait of the day :)

That’s some pixie dust for sure laureate! So glad you got to experience that.

I just returned and the SR line at Splash, Millennium Falcon, Radiator Racers, and Goofy Sky school were all under 15 minutes. More than once my wait was less than 5 minutes. Also pay attention when in line for cast members looking for parties of 2 or single riders. More than once, I was pulled from the line to help fill in ride vehicles.

We only used the one for webslingers and we were on the ride in probably 10 min. We had to wait for a pre-show since one went before us but that was it.
