are season dates constant?

We want to book a 3BR for June of 2021. We have enough for 6 nights at our home resort (SSR) in a standard view in magic season. It will be me, DH, DD#1 and SIL, DD#2, DS and his GF, plus my grandsons who will be almost 5 and turning 2 on the trip.
Here is my question: are the dates always the same for the seasons? On the 2019 and 2020 point charts, the last day of "magic season" is June 10. That works out great because in 2021 that is a Friday, and we would have 5 weeknights and one weekend night and check out June 11. Also June 10 is my son's bday so that would be nice.
Can't do any earlier because my last day of school is May 28.
Thanks.

Season dates are not constant, especially around Thanksgiving and Easter.

They can also reallocate points vs. seasons or change the seasons entirely. We won't know until we see 2021 charts.

From May 1th thru June 10 will stay as Dream season, just like it has been since day 1. You will see dates change for the week before and after EASTER, as well as Thanksgiving. For all WDW DVC resorts.
Unless the 'brain truss at DVD tries to pull another fast one on us.

Thanks! I know Easter changes because that is usually when my spring break is.

While they have not changed season dates before, except for premium, as noted, DVC could adjust them if they have a reason to do so,

That is the reason they put out yearly point charts. The good news is the 2021 chart will be out within the next 2 months.

Granrted, in my opinion, I don’t think you will see a change in seasons for that time of year, but in terms of adjustments to nights, you never know!

BTW whatever became of that ?
....didn't they put the points back to the same ,but is there any news on that going forward ?

They reverted. But we have not seen 2021 charts yet (normal - they should be out in December).
I feel like shifting seasons a bit would help smoke screen other changes.

If you are asking whether DVC has ever changed the actual seasonal dates, other than the normal changes that occur annually simply because Easter and Thanksgiving dates change annually, then the answer is yes: for Aulani in 2015, when major changes were made including turning much of summer from magic season into premier season. And thus, DVC believes it is allowed to make such changes. However, that is not the usual method DVC has to adjust the seasons. The official documents allow for shifting of points for a room among the seasons by lowering them during one season and raising them an equal amount in another season. The total points applicable to the year for the room need to stay the same. The documents even provide the per point per night cost per room size that would occur if seasonal changes resulted in every day of the year having the same point per night cost (referred to as a "maximum reallocation") .

Such seasonal shifting of points can occur if demand during one season exceeds demand during another. For many years that problem has actually existed between the fall season and all other seasons, as the demand for the fall season, which is mainly in low point cost choice season, and even partly in lowest point cost adventure season, is significantly higher than other seasons, e.g., the demand for the first two weeks of December makes Easter demand look like the slowest of off-seasons. Many have long expected DVC to eventually act to raise fall season points while lowering points needed for other seasons, but that would not change the identity of the seasons themselves but only change the points needed for any particular room per night during the season.

As to June 2021, I seriously doubt we will see any increase of points needed for SSR GV's. If DVC did an allowable seasonal shifting of points, the more likely result would be lowering the points you would need in June rather than raising them.

I'm a little surprised this hasn't been done, but I suppose if it's crowded most of the time anyway then there's not much reason to mess with it. Nevertheless, the fact that the first 2 weeks of December is still "adventure" season is surprising. That would be a prime target for a change IMHO.

SSSSSHHHHHH on the first 2 weeks of December. Do not give them any ideas, this is my favourite time to go.
