Have enough points in holding from a cancelled Oct trip..thinking of doing a quick one night stay at SSR in the next two weeks..nice to get away for a night before the rush of the Holidays…
I have read that all Disney pools are heated to 82 degrees..
We are “spoiled” now living in Fl with warm water pools which we love and spend a lot of time lounging and swimming.
Is the Paddock pool REALLY HEATED How about the larger pool? Next two weeks is the target date, so air temp will be relatively warm.
Thanks much!:o

We were at the Boardwalk for the 50th and they told us the pool was not being heated at all. You'd think, "End of September in Orlando, the pools are going to be warm, right?" Actually, it got into the high 60s at night and we shivered in the pool.

We had been at the Hard Rock earlier in the week and that pool definitely was several degrees warmer.

Many years ago, the Disney pools seemed to always be pleasantly warm. However, for the last few years, we often have found the pools to be unpleasant to go into, even during the hottest months.

The short of it, even if the pool is heated for November, it's probably not going to feel as warm as you would like.

@Nabas..Thanks for your response..not what I was hoping for lol😂 Geez, these resorts are so expensive..you would think Disney would heat them..all cost cutting measures I guess😢

Man, I hope this doesn't become the new normal. We were at AKL is January 2020 and hopped right into the pool when it was 48 degrees outside!

We stated at Yacht Club in May 21, and I thought a nice SAB evening swim was going to feel great on my achey feet from walking around the parks. The water did not feel heated. (even a little) It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't relaxing.... took one lap around the lazy river, and got out. DW ended up just put her feet in

I'll add as someone who has kayaked in Lake Superior in mid-summer, you'd know unheated. That the pools are tolerable at all when the temperature starts dipping is a factor of them being heated. None of the Disney pools are big enough to retain the day's heat for significant periods with water recirculation.

I bet if you took a water thermometer to the pool, you'd be surprised. Depending on the wind and air temperature, a heated pool can feel like it "doesn't seem heated". That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a little lower than 82 degrees.

I think the pools can get too hot in the summer. Many years back we were at BC in late June during a heat wave. I was looking forward to an evening jump into the pool to cool down, but when I hopped in it felt like bath water and was uncomfortably warm. I was like, I think I'm sweating while in the pool!

When the air starts getting cooler at nighttime, end October moving into Florida’s “winter”, really would be pleasurable on a sunny day to use a nice warm pool..just saying.. oh well☺️

Ok, but I prefer the pool at 301K and that's not even accounting for the wet bulb temperature conversion.

Excellent point on wet bulb... We should request Disney to factor this in to their pool temperature settings :P

But, may I suggest 542R instead? I prefer the granularity of the Fahrenheit scale over Celsius when it comes to air and water temperatures.

We were at Miller's Road pool at OKW leaving this morning. We swam several times. My husband noted the really warm water coming from jets on the bottom of the pool. I would say it was 81-82. I swim at least five times a week in an indoor pool which is about 82 and have been or over 10 years and am very sensitive to warmer or cooler water LOL!
