Are pool noodle chairs allowed?

And do they sell pool noodles at resorts? ( We could bring the netted seat).
We basically want to spend the week floating in a pool!

I remember seeing a person at the pool at VB using one multiple times during a trip there. The lifeguards did not make her put it away.

You can definitely use pool noodles in the DVC pools, we’ve done it before, and if I remember correctly some of the resort gift shops sell them. The rule I think is “noodles or small flotation toys”

Years ago the BC/YC dis thread had a noodle exchange going (much like the old Christmas tree exchanges) which finally ended when bell services got tired of dealing w/ the noodles 😂, so I assume noodles are ok.
Since these are shared pools I suspect a little common sense & good manners are in order. In a crowded feature pool during hot weather when everyone is trying to enjoy the pool I can’t imagine a pool chair even fitting into the pool w/out interfering w/ others use of the pool. At an uncrowded quiet pool or a larger pool in cooler weather & uncrowded conditions I doubt that anyone would care.
I know lifeguards need to scan the pool & to see the bottom for safety reasons & I’m not sure if a large floating object like a pool chair would interfere w/ that 🤷‍♀️.

I understand that. We were thinking of the little net seat that you thread the noodle through, creating a seat that is underwater. Basically it looks like you are standing up, with your arms resting on the noodle. So your waist on down is under the water, you are literally sitting IN and UNDER the water, if that makes sense?
I don't know how to link a picture... :(

I just looked some images up & they are much smaller than what I’d imagined & look pretty cool. I was visualizing those big bulky pool float chairs 😂.

You mean one of these, right? (Image from amazon.)

I would think you'll be fine with one at the quiet pools, not sure if a lifeguard would say anything at a main pool. The quiet pool at BWV actually has a bin of pool noodles for guests to use (at least they did Sept 2022 when we were there).

We used to use the mesh noodle seats all the time at Stormalong Bay. However, several years ago a lifeguard to us they weren’t allowed. We didn’t question it and haven’t taken them back. We still take our own noodles but leave the mesh seats at home.

I think in quiet pools you might be able to but lifeguard pools probably not due to someone could swim under you and not been seen by the lifeguard.

The last time we were at BWV in 2022, they had noodles at the pool for guess use, but I don't recall seeing them at VGF pools.

For 4th of July last year they must have brought out like 20-25 pool tubes to just give out and for people to use at VGF. It was a great time and really liked the pool tubes that week.

I think it might depend on the resort. We stayed at AKV in March and were getting help emptying the car. My husband uses a pool noodle for some of his PT and the bellhop specifically pointed out that they are not allowed in the pool there and wanted to be sure we knew.
