I am worried about the trek in the parking lot with crowds for Holidays season. Are the trams back yet?

I too share your concerns about the trams, as this is a make or break item on wither we make our final reservations. for next year. I wish someone at disney could explain why all the secrecy , regarding the trams and when it will return. After all its not the Manhattan project

It is not a priority .
Staffing is limited. Need CM in parks
$$$$ they are saving.
It's not been running for 16+ months . Guest are use to it now ( lack of it)
Just be happy parking hasn't gone up. WAIT that will be next

Did not see a tram anywhere last week.
Besides the cost savings, I wonder if they hope this will help spread out the lines entering as you don't have a huge crowd dropped off by the gate. With the walk, even those on buses spread out. The trams dropped off closer to the entry area.

Nope. Went over to the MK to meet some friends from home and took the walk from row 209.

Spotted some tonight parked in the Epcot lot. It’s really horrible they aren’t in use yet. Starts and ends your day on a sour note to have to walk so far…thats my two cents.

Stephen Colbert did a bit about the missing parking trams on his show last night, essentially calling out Disney for charging customers more for a lesser experience. The punch line was that since it's Disney, the walk has been re-branded as "Simba's Boiling Asphalt Stroll."

It will be interesting if the trams suddenly reappear now. Nothing like being made the butt of a joke on a rival network's top-rated late-night comedy show to spur an entertainment conglomerate into action.

Hilarious.

Just returned yesterday from WDW. The trams were not running. I HATED IT! After closing down MH‘s EMHs, I started trekking back to my car. I was guided by an attendant to follow the lines in the middle of the road. Boy, did that feel unsafe so I cut through the parking lot. A security guard in a car asked if I knew where I was going and pulled ahead to my car to make sure I got there. Which I appreciated, but just put the trams back. I will probably not renew my AP if there are not trams going forward.

(copied from another forum) Are the trams really non-roadworthy now, either due to new safety laws or due to losing their grandfathering when Disney shut down for the pandemic early last year?
