Are my kids too old for the water park at HoJo?

Currently booked for next summer in a bunk bed suite at HoJo's. After reading some reviews, I'm thinking that my kids may be too old for the waterpark, negating a big reason to book there vs. somewhere closer to save a bit of walking (Faifield Inn or BWPPI)? Kids will be 9.5 & 7 by the time we go.

Would love your thoughts on this (or on HoJo suites in general).

Thanks.

NO!! My dad (53), husband and bro-in-laws rode the slides and I think had more fun than the kids! :) I would stay there! It great, esp. in the heat.

We loved Hojos - their beds are amazing and our DD who was 12 at the time still loved the water park area. Have a great trip!

My boys are 11 and 12 and have played at the Hojo waterpark several times in just the last few years. As for the suite, we love it! One side has a king bed, t.v., mini fridge, microwave, Keurig coffeemaker, safe, and a bathroom. The other side has a bunk bed, small sofa that pulls out into a bed, t.v., and a bathroom. There is a door that closes between the rooms.

Too old? No way. That's the perfect age for the water park. They have a blast and watching them from the hot tub is oh so nice after a day at the park.

Too old?? No, heck my kids are 12 & 16 and they ask if we can stay at the HoJo for the water park. LOL

My kids were 13 and 9 when we stayed at HoJo in June, and they felt they were too old. It was definitely more of a preschool crowd while we were there. FWIW My now 14 year old son is 6'5, and tends to easily feel out of place.

My boys were 8.5 and 7 when we went last june and they love to run , play and be boys. It never occured to me that they would be too old for water slides, which is the reason I chose the HOJO. It was great.

My 12 & 10 year olds are looking forward to some castaway cove action next month, this will be our third stay at the HoJo :)

I'm going with no as well! My kids are 11 & 13 and have enjoyed the HoJo water park for years! Not sure if they will hang out there this year while we are in the hot tub (although I have a sneaking suspicion that they will be standing under that bucket at least a few times! lol) but at 9.5 & 7 most definitely!! :)

Thanks for the feedback. I knew the 7 yo would be fine, but wasn't sure about the older one. Now that I've got the hotel locked down, I'll just have to find some other decision to agonize over for the next 9 months until we leave!

Just stayed there last week! I LOVED the hotel, however my 8 and 10 yr old thought they were "too old" for the pirate watermark! I was so disappointed! I choose the hotel specifically for this reason! However they loved just being able to swim outside in the other pool! And the beds are fantastic! Best sleeps I've had for a long time!
