Are Moo Moo's And Boo Boo's Doomed?...Part 5

What is the hold up with the city? I mean you applied for it now what is taking so long?

Yeah, the application was submitted in February I think? :confused3 They got back to him (architect) in the beginning of April. Now we need to find out what the next step is. Supposedly, we were supposed to appear before the Historical Commission, but our architect found out that they had been disbanded due to budget cuts and that the city had absorbed their function.

I am hoping that if the city has absorbed the function of the Historical commission that they are not as stringent on their decisions. Our house is a "non-conforming" house in the district, so I am hoping that they will make an exception in our case and allow the addition.

On other news, in case the city does not approve our request we have resumed our house search in Long Beach. Last weekend I picked up a brochure on a place that would work for us. It's slightly out of our price range, but still doable. It would work pretty good for us if the addition doesn't come through.

Well at least one.. Lol...

I think we will have. An in-lawsuits, for a guests.. And then a small spare bedroom, a gym, a movie room, and bar/game room.

I think you mean, in-law-suite! :lmao: We want the same thing. Maybe a spare bedroom, we'll go to the gym, ::yes:: on the movie room, bar is the kitchen and we need a library/Display room with moveable walls to display our extra Disney art.

My dog just destroyed my cute and kinda expensive hot pink flats. So that's the second pair of shoes he's destroyed this month. He hasn't gone after shoes in years. I want to scream.

Our cats do a similar thing, but I think it's the other end that destroys the shoes.

Damn auto correct....

Yes That is what I meant.. Glad you knew it, could have looked really weird..

So which do you prefer? Moving into something already done, or going through with the renovation?

Hi All....
Sorry, I haven't read back yet but just wanted to pop in and say Hi!! I am completely physically and mentally exhausted after a great weekend at Disneyland (doing our quest solving competition).

I will go back and try to catch up now. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I would rather rennovate. Its less moneyand we get what we want. I'm just not sure the city will let us do it.

Oh exciting. I see you would rather renovate but how long will you wait before putting an offer in? Do houses stay on the market long there? Right now in our area real estate is hot hot hot as long as it's decently priced.

Yeah...I thought we might have them for a month or two, but they seem to be with us for good.

I don't think the TF could've forgot about us. There's too many of us. I wonder when they will change back. Would they go back to what they were before?

It's tough to say. If the city flat out refuses to give us the permit then we'll offer. I'm not sure how long houses here stay on the market. We aren't looking at median level houses. In fact this is slightly out of our price range. I think it just depends on the property. This one is nice enough that someone with the money will eventually take it.

I hope the city responds soon! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Argh the house appraised 10k under contract price. Keep your fingers crossed for me but we won't be bringing 10k more at closing
