At Everything Pop, can our drink be a milkshake with a CS??? What about our dessert??

It would be great if we could get a milkshake as the drink portion!! :lovestruc

Thanks!!

when we were at POP in 2008 for free dining, milkshakes were only allowed as the dessert on a counter service credit. They only allowed soda, tea, coffee or bottled drink for the CS meal beverage. You could get a milkshake as a snack credit.

It may have changed since...hopefully someone who's been there more recently can confirm or correct:)

ETA: most reports allowing milkshakes for the dining plan meal beverage were for table service credits at table service (Like Le Cellier, Sci Fi, The Wave, Captain's Grill, etc.) Just an FYI

Holy cow... If I tell my son that he can get a milkshake as a CS dessert, I don't know if he'll be so excited for next time, or totally ticked that I have somehow not known that for our previous Pop trips. Probably both!

Anyone been lately who can confirm this is true?

That was nearly 2 years ago...maybe someone can come along & confirm this is still possible there. Hopefully this post will bump so someone at POP this year can confirm you can still get the milkshake as a CS dessert...

As of June, yes the milkshakes do qualify for CS desserts. Any ice cream option at Pop qualifies as a CS dessert.

The drink is a different story. At Pop it depends on the cashier. Some say it's a drink or dessert while others say dessert only. I sure which they were at least consistent about it. We asked at the beginning of our trip and were told it was allowed as a drink only to encounter a cashier part way through our trip who told us it wasn't (we did tell her we had been told it was and that it rang through fine in the past but no-go) so we had to get out of line to put back a dessert (something packaged, not something from the bakery counter that we already touched) and grab a bottled drink. I don't know what the actual rule is, just that different cashiers seem to know and follow different rules. I'd suggest you just get the milkshake as a dessert to avoid confusion.

This is the face my son just made when I told him about this: :hyper:

I agree with you on the consistency thing -- but that is always an issue with all sorts of stuff across WDW!

Thanks for confirming the milkshake-as-dessert info for us!!
