Are Mickey Waffles always allergy free?

Are the Mickey Waffles always egg and peanut free? Trying to figure out breakfast options for my egg and peanut allergy DD. What about pancakes?

I tried to search and found a lot of allergy info on the mickey waffles but I'm not sure if it's a special request or if it's standard. We usually do a quick breakfast in the room or she just has fruit but checking out our other options this time.

Waffle and pancake recipes traditionally have eggs in them so I would think that to get them egg free you would have to request a special order.

if you are looking at a table serve ressie be sure the allergies are listed ressie. if it is a counter serve ask to see the book that lists what is in everything as it can be different at each place you order

The regular waffles and pancakes are NOT safe for people with egg or some other allergies. If you would like pancakes or waffles, check the special diets menu to see which locations have the allergy-friendly waffle and pancake mix (Namaste)

The special allergy-friendly waffles are made in a dedicated waffle maker, which is why not all breakfast locations are able to serve them.

According to the blog above, they now no longer serve Bob's Red Mill Mix, instead they use either Namaste mix or Cup4Cup. Since eggs and peanuts aren't our allergies, I'm not sure if either mix is made in a location that also processes peanuts, so you may want to check before you go.

Oh, that's great news for us! Bob's Red Mill wasn't on our safe list because they had shared lines with hazelnuts and almonds, two very sensitive and highly volatile allergies for us. They do keep the allergen ingredient sheets up to date, so they still have a few Bob's Red Mill products but could be phasing them out per this blog information.

Namaste products are produced in a facility free from wheat, gluten, corn, soy, potato, dairy, casein, tree nuts, and peanuts. They do not use eggs anywhere on or near their production lines, however they have eggs present in their test kitchen (in the same building but in a separate room) so they cannot claim to be totally egg-free, but we consider them safe for egg allergies. (Use your own judgement.)

I have never heard of Cup4Cup before and don't see it on their safe ingredient lists for our allergens, but I'll keep an eye out for them.

That's not true according to the list that Special Diets sent me as of 2/27. Now I'm confused and worried a bit...

The lists on glutenfreedairyfreewdw.com are not all the latest and greatest. Look at the date on the bottom of the page to see when they're from. Disney seems to be keeping the links that follow the following format up to date these days so I've been using these. I have noticed that the dates on the page update from time to time and that the products are being updated as they change. At least it's working for now.

Here's the format: http://wdw.wdpromedia.com/media/kana/sd/WDW-DairyFree.pdf where the allergen in question goes before the Free so this is the one with dairy free and for egg free you would substitute Dairy for Egg and so on. They do have some combined lists but you have to play around to find out the order of the allergen to get them right. Special Diets sends out these links so you can just keep checking back to the links they send you as they seem to be up to date.

According to Cup4Cup's website ( http://www.cup4cup.com/product-info/ ), their mix contains:

"made with all-natural ingredients: cornstarch, white rice flour, brown rice flour, milk powder, tapioca flour, potato starch, xanthan gum"

Also, from their FAQ: "Cup4Cup is produced independently in a Celiac Sprue Association-certified gluten-free facility that is also soy free and nut free."


Other than that their mix contains milk and is GF and the above note about a soy and nut free facility, I could find no other allergen-related information on their website.
