Are matinees typical on a 7 day?

I was reading a trip report about matinees for the night time shows being offered on sea days. Is that typical or specific for an itinerary/ship/location?

They used to offer matinees somewhat regularly on the sea days of the 7 night cruises, but they seem to have disappeared. Now you only have the two showings at night.

On 7 cruises since 2011, all 7 days or longer, the only matinee I've seen is Tangled on the Magic earlier this year. Every other cruise I've been on has only had the night-time shows.

The last matinee I saw was in Feb 2013 on the Magic.
