Are masks required anywhere in the cruise experience now?

I haven't cruised since March and am curious, because at that time you had to mask at the port building and in shops on Castaway, for example. Is any of that required for guests now, or is it all optional?

I don't think there are any mask requirements for cruises departing from US ports. Cruises from other ports may have different requirements. For example I believe masks are required inside the terminal in Vancouver.

Do you have to wear masks anywhere on Castaway Cay now?

From DisneyCruise.com:
Face coverings are optional in many areas areas at Disney Castaway Cay. However, all Guests (ages 2 and up, including those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19) are required to wear appropriate face coverings while in restrooms, merchandise locations, traveling on trams or other island transportation, and in dining pavilions when not actively eating or drinking.

We didn’t need them anywhere on our Wish cruises (which was good as the bag of them was left on the front seat of the car accidentally)

It doesn't sound like the masking on Castaway Cay described here is accurate?
Agree that it might say that, but no one enforced it. Literally they were handing out masks on the gangway if people didn't have them for Dominica saying, "You must wear these" - and nothing like that on Castaway (and we were there in January and did wear masks in the stores on the island and at Cookies).

They also handed them out on St. Martin, but it was a "you might need this by location."

In fact, you had to have it on before going out on the gangway in Dominica. It was that strict.

I was on the Wish for the 25th-29th and masks were optional on CC and anywhere on the ship AFAIK. I nor my mom were ever asked to put one on, even when Triton's was packed to the gills for the final karaoke session lol. They were also optional in the terminal. If you're getting off in Nassau, however, I would definitely bring one. My mom was actually shoo'd out of a store because she didn't have one on her! I don't remember which store it was though.

We had to wear masks in shops on Nassau in mid July - the Pirate Museum required them also. The owner complained that not every shop owner was doing their best to enforce it, but that they didn't want to pay the fine.

We were on the same cruise! It was great!

The only place in Nassau that we HAD to have a mask was Starbucks. But we just wandered the town and shops.
