Are magicbands transferrable?

My DD and I have a few MagicBands each. Can these be given to friends who are staying offsite to use on their trip or do they need to purchase new ones? There are no outstanding park days attached to the bands. I'd just like to offer them the ease of the band without having to purchase them.

Is this a possibility?

If they've already been linked to your accounts, I don't think there's anything you can or should do about that.

Nope. Not possible. Once a MagicBand is linked to your Disney account then it is permanently linked to that account forever. Unfortunately they will have to purchase their own. Sorry!

Thanks! Figured it was worth asking since we now have a small collection of MBs and I was hoping we could share. Oh well, they can decide for themselves if they want to purchase MBs.
