Are Magic Bands waterproof?

Yes they are. You can also put designs and modge podge on them.

If memory serves me right, yes, to a point. Can't go swimming with them, but water rides are fine.

I wouldn't go deep sea diving with one, but they are certainly water resistant enough to be worn in the pools, at the water parks and on Splash Mt. or Kali River Rapids.

Not the first misinformed CM, and also not the last. I've swam with them (MagicBands, not CMs) as have countless others here, with no ill effects.

we wore them in the pools and hot tubs during our trip and no problems either.

You can absolutely swim with them. We wore them everyday for 11 days at SAB and they were perfectly fine.

ditto on the swimming. It was the only other thing we took with us besides our towels. Love not having to worry about misplacing a room key!

DH wore his the entire 2 weeks. Never took it off.....showers, swimming, everything.
Worked again the next trip.....and the next.

We wore them at Typhoon Lagoon. Went in the snorkel pool, on most of the slides and stayed in the lazy river for a long time. We had a credit card linked to them. It was so much easier not having to carry anything or leave anything on a chair there or rent a locker.

Yes magic bands are waterproof. Even in water parks you will not reach the depth limit of the bands

They are spec'd to a depth of either 20 meters or 20 feet. I would have to dig up which it is, but even the smaller depth will get you to the bottom of most places we are likely to be at WDW.

I read somewhere that although they are waterproof they do sink however.
