Are last minute AP rates history?

I'm still confused. I usually plan one week-long WDW trip well in advance (DVC member) and take a few shorter trips along the way. I'll usually wait for a dip in airfare, with the Ding it is much more frequent. Once I know I can get a cheap flight I'll call for AP rates. If the stars align and I can get an Ap discount and cheap airfare I'll book the trip. Some times I'll book as close as two weeks from my departure. Are these days over? If so, Disney is going to lose money from my pocket.

No one knows for sure. It's been mentioned that there will be AP room only codes available later but I'm sure they will be limited.

I'm in the same situation. We stay DVC then I use AP room only rates for Friday and Saturday night.
