I know selfie sticks are banned. But are the non telescoping gimbals allowed in the parks. They are basically hand held short image stabilizers? Thanks for any info.

If you are thinking of something like a DJI Osmo or the GoPro equivalent you will be just fine. Security might ask you if it extends when they see it but I've used my Osmo+ a number of times without issues.
