Are FPs connected park-to-park?

Wondering if anyone knows if FPs are connected park-to-park or if you start fresh each time you park hop? In other words, if I'm in Epcot before lunch and get a FP for Soarin' and it's return time is not until dinner time, then I go to MGM for the afternoon, can I pick up a FP as soon as I get to MGM, or do I have to wait until the 'next FP time' posted on my FP from Epcot? :confused3

I do not know the answer and am interested as well. I do know that after you get any FP you can get another two hours later. So your scenario would only matter if you got your FP and then got to the other park and to a FP ride within two hours.

FWIW, the DL and DCA parks in California are not connected in this way, and since it is so much quicker getting from park to park there (1 minute by foot) it would be more of an issue if they were connected.

Park Hopping takes a long time too!! By the time you get your fast pass, walk to the gate and get on what ever transportation you do, get to the next park (Which could involve switching if you get on a bus?) then get into the next gate and to what ever attraction you want a fast pass on I will bet its close to 2 hours anyway.

Hi Hydroguy! I have all of your wonderful FP advice for DL/CA bookmarked for our august trip (first time out there in 17 years!) :thumbsup2
The trip from Epcot to MGM can easily be made in under an hour, depending on how the boats are running, so I am hoping to be able to go right from getting the Epcot FP to getting an MGM FP if someone knows it can be done - if no one knows for sure, I'll try anyway and then we'll know! :smooth:

Quite true, it's 25-30 minutes from the Epcot dock to the Studios dock, plus walking time to an attraction.
Sorry, I don't know about FP's from park to park.

I'm pretty sure they're not. We were in Epcot during Spring Break and waits for rides like Soarin were exceeding 2 hours. We picked up Fast Passes with a return time of something like 8:30 pm and decided to walk over to MGM where we were able to get another set of Fast Passes for Tower of Terror. I can't give you the exact times between the time I got them but I know it was less than the two-hour rule allows. Maybe less than an hour? This would have been around lunchtime on a very busy day.

That statement " If the boats are running just right" is exactly why I said if you can make it there. In the real world Murphys law dictaites many times it wont be running just right. Im sure its under 2 hours. (I have stayed at the beach club twice so I do have some experience with this route) BUt could take longer "if the boats are just right". Then dont forget lines to get in and walk to the attraction. I have park hopped many many times and I find an hour and half to be a good AVERAGE time it takes from your day to do it. Thats all the way into the next park.

That's a really interesting question... I might have to try that on my next trip. I have seen were at 11AM Soarin is giving fast passes for well into the evening, so you could always start at EPCOT, take the monorail to MK (with a stop at the TTC), get a fast pass there and then come back at night to ride Soarin'

They are not.

There's no reason for them to be "connected" between parks.

Thanks Robo - and everyone !!! Finishing up my packing and I'm outta here !! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
