Do they let you bring food and drinks on the buses? If we don't finish our coffee or soda we'd like to keep drinking it when we board the buses. Is that ok?

Lots of people carry drinks on, including us at times. Not sure about food, though.

Eating and drinking are not permitted on the resort buses.

We would drink and eat while on the buses in the morning, breakfast on the go. But, I am pretty sure that there are "no food & drinks" signs on the buses. I think that if you eat and drink, mindfully, (neatly and not bothering others ) it shouldn't be a problem.

In the past while going on the buses in the mornings my family and I have brought drinks on and the drivers didn't say anything, plus we weren't trying hide them.

There are signs that say no food or drinks, but we have always taken stuff on the bus. No one has ever said anything to us about it.

At least once during every trip we have a bus driver point out the no eating or drinking on the bus rule. Most drivers will let a cup of coffee or bottle of water slide. I've never seen anyone eating on a bus, so I can't say what the drivers would do in that case.

I think you can carry in on just don't eat while riding. We usually always are to full to eat dessert and carry it with us back to the hotel to eat later. everyone has there Disney mugs with them..popcorn::popcorn::

Disney doesn't allow food & drink to be consumed on the busses for a couple of reasons; cleanliness and potential food allergy reactions based on odors in a confined space.

You are not supposed to eat or drink on the buses. If you bring a drink on with you, it is supposed to be covered and closed. I suppose you could get away with a quick snack, but I wouldn't try bringing a breakfast egg sandwich on with you and eating it on the bus in order to save time.
Bugs, and small critters can be a huge issue in WDW...it's central Florida. Any little crumb left behind is going to 'call out' to wildlife of all sorts. Do you really want to get on a bus first thing in the morning and have something crawl across your foot???

So, eat before getting on the bus. If you choose to bring something to eat with you, eat it before getting on, or leave it until you get to your destination.

I think they frown on full table service, but we almost always bring on a drink and never even a glance from the driver. It's probably too much trouble for the drivers to enforce this rule........

Full table service, thats a great way to put it.

Once or twice we have had a driver mention no food or drink. I think he was having a bad day. :confused3

We almost always carry coffee or some kind of drink on the buses in the morning and have never had anyone call us on it. I've seen others eating pop tarts, breakfast sandwiches, etc. with no problem.

Only once saw somone come onto the bus with 'food' - last May a family of 4 came on carrying hot dogs (with all the trimmings), mum was trying to balance a puschair at the same time, needless to say her hot dog fell onto the floor, sauce and onions everywhere  For some reason the driver hadn't seen her come onto the bus (there were only about 8 of us on the bus in any event), let's just say the driver wasn't too impressed when with the mess left on the bus floor!

I'm guessing it is the driver who gets to clean up after people eat on the bus.

People do not think about allergies unless they have them or know someone with them. I have a few allergies, seafood, chocolate and cinnamon. But besides ingesting cinnamon its the smell of cinnamon that triggers my allergy.

I have brought coffee in a closed lid cup on the bus without mention. But I have seen some children eating chocolate and getting it all over the seats and no one said anything.:confused3

I can tell you that if you have a soda can in a can cooler and attempt to bring that on board, the bus driver will more than likely stop you to make sure it truly is a soda and not alcohol. That happened to a lady who not only did that but boarded the bus from the back (a big no-no). The driver had to wait until everyone boarded the bus and was situated before he walked all the way to the back of the bus to make sure the lady had a soda. He also told her that's one of the reasons people have to board from the front of the bus - so the drivers can see everyone as they board to make sure they aren't bringing on anything they shouldn't.

No problem...we always bring our coffee and a breakfast bar to eat on the way to the parks...never once have we gotten in trouble for it :goodvibes

You are not allowed to eat or drink anything on the bus. If you do bring a drink, it is supposed to have a closed cover. I have seen many people bring food and beverages with them on the bus, but the driver has never said anything to anyone about it. This rule is mainly for the safety of guests and to keep the buses clean. I'm sure it is a really big pain for the bus driver if someone spills their drink or food all over the floor.
