Thanks.
I wonder why one is allowed and not the other?
Thanks. And thank goodness for that! They're both allowed, it's just that fans have electric motors that can overheat, short out, and catch fire. White noise machines do not.
That's why they want the electrician to examine the fans. They are allowed so long as the electrician finds them to be safe. White noise machines are always allowed.
I got my white noise machine for under $20 at Walmart. It's small and flat and packs easy. (no bigger than 8 inch circle)Related question - I sleep with a fan for the white noise. Would it be possible to purchase one and have it shipped directly to the ship so they can look at it ahead of time?
I wouldn't think so, there is no way for them to receive the package, check the package and then have it delivered to your room. It doesn't take long to have an electrician check them out after you board.Related question - I sleep with a fan for the white noise. Just curious, what section of Walmart are white noise machines in?I got my white noise machine for under $20 at Walmart. It's small and flat and packs easy. (no bigger than 8 inch circle)
I would think that would be less expensive then shipping a fan directly. Just my thought.
This is what we use. We have one in our bedroom, but also keep one with our luggage so we never forget it.Has anyone found a nice travel size one? I like them too, but ours at home is part of our alarm clock. So it would be nice to have one that travels easily.
true if you do it carefully it works by magnets if you do not have it open to far.If you have a verandah room and can leave the door to the verandah open a bit, you will get not only air circulation but also wonderful white noise courtesy of the ocean.
