Are "face" characters at Disney creepy?

I was roaming the DIS and read a quote that someone said the "face" characters (like the Princesses) are creepy and the mascot characters that are encased in the costume are ok. Do you feel this way? I sure don't but it never occured to me that someone would find them creepy. :confused3

The face charcters are much less creepy. They look like people wearing wigs and make-up, which is what they are. I never know whats lurking under those big, furry, smiling heads... now thats creepy, lol.

None of them are creepy to me; I just always find myself feeling sorry for the fur characters because those costumes are INSANELY hot.

I don't find any of them creepy! :)

No, I think they are fabulous! When I met Aladdin with my daughter I had to keep reminding myself he wasn't the real deal!

I don't find them to be creepy. Even the ones which are supposed to be. Take, for instance, this clip of the Evil Queen at Disneyland. (Not my video, by the way). She puts on a great performance, and really hams up the act with the kids, none of which seem to be frightened by her.

Some Disney characters are better off as "face characters" rather than traditional stuffed costumes, in order to truely bring out the character's traits/actions. (I wish the parks did Captain Hook this way also.)

There's only one character who really creeps me out: the Queen of Hearts :scared1: :scared:. I typically head the other way when I see "her".
