Are Drafts Autosaved?

I had a whole long post typed up on a different thread. I kept seeing a pop-up say "draft saved" so I didn't worry about saving it manually. The page crashed and said it needed to reload before I hit post, and it disappeared. Is there a way to find the "draft saved"? Is it floating around out there somewhere? I hope so.

If you have a saved draft, it will appear in the gray Reply box at the bottom of the post. I have found that sometimes a draft autosaves, particularly if it took me a while to type out my post. I think it's probably time-dependent (like it autosaves after X minutes). But I don't rely on it to have 100% of my post unless I click "save" myself. Not sure what gets saved in the event of a crash. I hope you found your post.
