I called Disney this afternoon to see if I can get a long weekend for mid July at ASMovie. I was told there were no rooms available, not even for a moderate. I was quoted a Wilderness Lodge Villa studio, OKW studio. WLV was like $800 something for AP rate. I then asked them to check night by night, and only came up with nights here and there.

The CM told me because of the Fairytale package, many rooms are sold out.

I was hoping to get a cheap room for 4 nights just for me and my 5 year old. I guess we are not going:(

Anyone else having problem finding rooms?

I wouldn't doubt... the Fairytale Magic Plan is a great incentive. Keep calling back and try different booking options (travel agent, online websites, etc).

Yes they are. I was booked using an AP rate at the WL and wanted to upgrade to either the Poly or GF. Well, I was told by CRO that almost all of the deluxes were sold out for my dates! I ended calling back and I got a VERY nice CM who said she did see availability at the Poly, but it took her over 30 minutes to book it. She said that it probably was the last room, hence the problem, but I think that even though it was showing availability it really wasn't available and she got a manager to override an AP rate for me.

Hi there... I had a quick email from the concierge itinerary planner at BC - at the end of it she said how swamped she is with concierge guests bookings because of the fairytale package - she says "the fairytale is keeping me hopping" this is the busiest she has been in years.

Oh yeah, things are gonna be hoppin at Disney this summer.

I have a couple of friends that are CMs at the WL and Full time CMs are on mandatory 6 day weeks and part time CMs are on mandatory 5 day weeks!!!

I may just be in the minority here, but I called CRO last night and booked 4 nights at the WL at the end of July with no problems at all. I had the CM check the AKL, CBR, CSR and the WL and all of them had availability (and we weren't sure exactly which weekend we wanted to go so we had him check several weekends and they were all available). I even got an AP rate for a standard view room at the WL, which I know can be tough to book even several months in advance.
Maybe I just got lucky....

All-Star Movies is at 100% occupancy throughout the summer. Sports & Music are in the 95-99%. Most other resorts are also in the very high 90% for most of the summer.

It's a shame they didn't open Pop Century sooner...

Wow,

For all those rooms being so booked there sure aren't many people in the parks.

They are busy this year. I live close by and a lot of my friends are commenting on more traffic in the area, plus out of state cars.
Another reason is Disney has some good florida Resident deals and a lot, including us, are vacationing in our back yard this year.

and I was told by the CM on the phone I may want to consider doing most or all of my own PSs because the concierge staffs are in overload right now due to the FTP. I took that advise but I'm hoping they can at least nab a CRT for me! :)

I have platyed around on the site a little bit, and the summer does look booked, but the fall seems pretty open. I did get my call from the AKL concierge and they have already made the PS's I requested that can be made at this point. (Actually they made them the same day they called and then emailed me the itinerary.) SO far - I completely impressed with the concierge staff, and if they are overloaded, they sure aren't showing it! Kudos to them.

We were originally schedule to check out of ASMu July 4, I called late Monday and added the night of the 4th at the AP rate with no problems. (or at least that is what the CRO CM said)
