Are disney passes dated.

Hi

I have just booked our accomodation for our upcoming trip and was amazed that the best option was booking direct with disney with one their deals. We are both shareholders and annual pass holders but were quoted much more using these options.

The package we have booked include the passes for the four days we will be there. Does anyone who has book a package deal know if the passes are open ended or are they dated to be used on the days you are at the park. As we already have our passes I am thinking of passing them on to our friends who will be accompanying us on our next trip in July.

If I remember rightly they are dated if they are part of a package

Yes they are dated.

We had the same thing happen on our Jan trip. We have APs and we were quoted more than double for room only for Disneyland Hotel than what we ended up paying for package including tickets!

So we ended up with 3 tickets for 4 days and no use for them

Yes tickets booked as part of a package will have an expiry date

I used to think having the annual pass was a real bonus but with all these special offers going on i'm not so sure, I have saved more money booking a package than with both my annual pass and shareholders discount card

I may be brave in the future and stick to the shareholders discount pass

Yes that's quite a recurring theme - cheaper to do all inclusive than use the AP discount. We are also AP holders but haven't as yet stayed in one of the Disney hotels, 5 of us, but may-be one day, so to us the AP is a huge bonus enabling us to come and go as we please when in country and also plan short hops....
