Are discounts possible after reservations made?

I am new to this, and I have been seeing everywhere discussion about discount codes and offers. I researched for weeks and ended up making our reservation thru the WDW site for a package. Now I wonder if they do put these discount codes out, can I change my package. Of course I want to get as good a deal as possible. Id love to have that free dining option. Has anyone ever used one person's suggestion of calling regularly for any upgrades or discounts? Thanks

Yes... they will add on a discount code. But you have to be fast, they release the codes 100 at a time, so if you're not one of the first 100 to call you'll miss it.

Yep, you can add a discount. Sometimes they have to cancel and rebook the reservation but that's not a big deal. People add discounts all the time.

Where do you find the codes? I am new to DIS to and just booked our family vacation for May and would definately not be opposed to saving $$$.

Please provide more information on this. If we booked through a Disney agent should we even bother or will they be up on it??
