Are different member #s all listed together on the member website?

I'm thinking about making an offer soon on a resale contract. This particular contract is a different UY than all our others which is fine with us. I understand I will get a new member # because of that. Here's where it gets a bit complicated. All our current contracts are under mine & DH's name. If we go forward with making an offer on a resale contract DH will be out of town traveling for an extended period of time so it will be very difficult to get his signature on papers. We're thinking of just putting the new contract under my name only since it will be a different member number anyway. If we do that how would that be listed on the member website? Do different member #s even show up on one page or do you get a different account? It's not a huge deal if it's a different account (especially if some contracts have both name & 1 has just mine), but I'm just thinking ahead.

We had two different UY's at one time but both were titled the same way and showed up under my one DVC log in.

Not sure if that made a difference or not.

I'll let you know in about 2 weeks. :cool1: We have one contract from Disney we bought two years ago in which our names are the same but DH and I are listed as "Single" and we bought a resale contract with a different UY we deeded as "Married" since we bought it with part of our wedding gifts, but is otherwise the same. Should close as soon as the paperwork/final check lands in Florida (I'm thinking Wednesday). I'd rather keep the same login solely for the purpose of attaching it to my main e-mail address but that may not be possible .... just planning on rolling with it.

I just hope you know that different use year contracts are *not* combinable at 7 months, or at all. I can't imagine buying 2 contacts that I'd have to use my 1 transfer per year in order to use all my points.

Yes I do know that. Lots of people have contracts with different UYs & it works out perfectly fine. To each his own.

Thank you all for your input.

We are considering the same thing. We have June UY (at BCV & AKV), but are looking at Oct for a new add-on . I'm a little concerned about the combining of the points at a 7 mo mark, and having to transfer to do that, but I think I would be buying these points (BWV) to use specifically at the BWV (to have the 11 mo advantage at getting STD view or BWV). I'm hoping this is not a mistake- if I do need to transfer once in a while, I think I read that you are allowed an additional transfer per UY when it is from one of your contracts to another. Good luck, OP!:goodvibes

That is exactly what we are planning too. The new points would be used specifically for that resort probably every other year. If need be I wouldn't have a problem transferring them to my other account. We've been members for almost 3 yrs. & have yet to need a transfer so I don't see the 1 a year rule being an issue. I have also read that MS will allow you to do more than 1 transfer per year if they are both of your own contracts, but since I have no experience with that myself don't quote me on it!

Good luck to you with your new contract!

Thanks!! Just made an offer- it was countered- and we accepted!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Congratulations! We love BWV for the location and the cost of the standard view rooms.:banana:

Thanks, Bobbi!!! I am very excited- of all the DVCs, I have always loved the decor of BWV most- I think it is such a beautiful resort! And right now is such an excellent time to buy resale- congratulations to you, as well- you scored big on your HHI contracts! :thumbsup2 Actually, HHI is where we had planned to add on- but we just couldn't find the right contract, and I have to say, I AM really excited to alternate family vacations between BCV & BWV, now. :goodvibes And i am LOVING the STD view points, WOWEE!!!:yay:

The contract will show up under a separate account for just you on the website since it is titled that way. We have two online accounts - one for myself and one for my DH as we purchased our contracts separately.

Just asked Member services about it and they said we could use the same e-mail address for the two different membership numbers BUT we should use 2 logins because they've had problems with people trying to use the same login for two membership numbers. So that works, I guess. I actually like the idea of having two different UY for the possibility of two transfers, but the main plan is to book 4 nights or so with our main contract and 2-3 nights with our secondary contract and link the two reservations together anyhow. Asked MS about that too and they said it works just fine.

Congratulations! The contract I have my eye on is also a BWV contract. Still mulling it over because I'm slightly concerned over all the resale changes rumors. Should make my decision by tomorrow one way or the other.

Thank you for a definitive answer CarolAnn!

Don't know if this helps at all but you could get a Power of Attorney signed by your husband so that you can sign the contracts in his name! This way ownership would still be the same.

Since my DH travels for work we each have one for each other. It helps in a pinch as I'm NOT willing to forge his signature which other couples have been known to do.:rolleyes1
