It absolutely is for us. We've stayed at all three levels. Hated values b/c we found the rooms too small and the atmosphere chaotic. We like to come back to the resort midday to relax, and found that napping/relaxing was impossible for us at the value due to noise (mainly the beds being next to the door and the door leading straight outside). Mods were fine, but again, we consider the hotel part of our vacation -- peaceful early mornings drinking coffee on the balcony, strolls in the evening along the beach/boardwalk, no endless walking from point A to B at the resort (do that enough at the parks!), quick trip into a park (or boat ride, which we LOVE doing at the beginning and end of the day. Beautiful views and peaceful). The parks are amazing but tiring to us. We need a place that let's us recharge. I can definitely see, however, how a commando park goer would find spending extra on hotels pointless. That's just not us, though.
Wow, just writing this is making me yearn like crazy for a split BC/WL stay, lol!
