Are crocs really that comfy?

Sorry if this thread is in the wrong location, but the crocs deals thread reminded me...

Are crocs truly comfortable? My feet tend to hurt and get sweaty so I get tired and uncomfy and grumpy...no fun when you're visiting the happiest place on earth. So I am considering getting crocs since everyone seems to love them so much.

Is there anything bad about them? Any tips?

yes. I have 5 pair,and we all in our family wear only crocs as soon as warm weather hits. like now.

yes they are. I wear socks with mine to prevent rubbing.

I have the capri style and I just love them. My feet have never hurt with them. We all wore crocs when we went to disney and absolutely no problems.

I always thought they were so ugly and that i would never wear them. Until someone gave them to me as a gift. Now I love them and was trying to get my mom to buy a pair for our upcoming trip.

She couldn't get past the "ugliness" so I might have to buy her a pair so she'll feel guilt to wear them

I have 5 pairs and other than "church shoes" I don't wear anything else. Since I'm a nurse I can even wear them to work. My feet have never been more comfortable. No sweaty, stinky, sore feet at the end of the day.

I've been skeptical, too, cause I always end up with sore feet and blisters when I walk for miles and miles, like when we go to a zoo or amusement park. But, my sister swears by Crocs, and at her job, she's on her feet for 9 hours, and says her feet never hurt. I'm definitely getting a pair for the trip. Ugly or not, I would love to have happy feet at the end of the day!

I wore a pair of Croc Mary Janes all last spring/summer, seriously like every day. I wore them to work, to all day outings at the zoo, parks, the pool etc. They are so very comfortable. I could wear them to the zoo and walk all day and not feel a thing but when I wore my sneakers to the zoo I left with sore feet.

But I do have a couple complaints. The treads on the bottoms wear down and then they become very slippery when they are wet. My DD has worn her first pair for ever an the bottoms are nearly completely gone but she hasn't had much trouble. I on the other hand have wipped out completely walking into work when the soles were wet and I stepped onto a marble floor. I have also slipped several times in the garage on very smooth concrete. That didn't happen until the treads were really worn off so I guess I should have just replaced them. As comfortable as they are I haven't bought a pair yet for this spring/summer. I'm trying to find something else that is as comfortable and will last more than one or two seasons.

Funny you should ask as I have my Capris on now.

Crocs for me are very comfortable! I started out with the Disney Cayman Crocs and they were so comfortable after walking around the parks all day that I bought another pair after that. Then Crocs came out with the Capris (the pair I own now), and when they came out with the 3" wedge heel Sassaris I went nuts and bought 3 pairs of those.

I've worn my Sassari heel Crocs all over WDW and had absolutely no foot pain. Ladies would stop me to ask if I was comfortable wearing heels in the parks and when they saw they were Crocs they were stunned.

I plan to buy about 3 more pairs of Sassaris and two pairs of Capris for this summer.

No. I can't wear them any more then 'from and to' the pool. They are very uncomfortable.

So YMMV you have to try them on for yourself!

OH I LOVE LOVE LOVE their Capris... I have them seriously in Every color... I have alittle bit of a problem!! I just bought the crocs sandals. I saw them at the orlando airport for $75. I ordered them online and found a free shipping code using a google search. I usually don't spend that much on shoes but...these are GREAT!!!!! I have regular crocs, flip flop crocs and now these sandals! I love them!

I hurt my heel the other day and literally couldn't were any shoe and it hurt to walk bare foot but I put on my crocs and wore them at work the entire day and put up with the teasing from the entire office but by the end of the day my heel was better. I usually don't wear them in public but I made an exception and I wore them to Disney and they were great my feet felt fine at the end of the day much better that when I had on my tennis shoes.

I think they are very comfortable when I'm wearing them. However, if I wear them all day, my feet are sore at the end of the day when I take them off. I also never had problems with my feet. Then I started wearing Crocs regularly and I got plantar fasciatis (sp?). Don't know if they are related.

I love my Croc Cleo's - much better style than the clown feet Crocs. And yes they are THAT comfortable.

I HATE my crocs. I think its because I have such a narrow foot I can't keep them on. I'm not sure but I always get blisters from them and they are a pita for me

my crocs are great for everyday use but at WDW they tear up my feet. I've got extremely high arches so the entire top of my foot gets blistered and rubbed raw. I have to either put something like moleskin over the entire top of my foot or wear socks. And if they get wet then my pinkie toe starts rubbing up on the sides and gets raw.

I do love them still but it's something to keep in mind.
