Are CROC flip flops as good as the original crocs for Disney World?

I just tried on some croc flip flops at the store and they seem really comfortable. Just wondering if they are good enough for huge amounts of walking at Disney World. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks!

I'd like to know too, I have a pair of them, but wonder if they will work for the miles of walking I imagine I'll be doing in the World.

I have read that the originals are a better idea because they protect the top of your feet too. I can't say I wasn't tempted by the flips flops too though. They were realy comfy and not so weird looking.

I will be testing out my crocs in a week. My whole family has them.

Have not worn them to WDW yet, but did wear them all day at the NC Zoo, which requires a (whole) lot of walking. Had no problems. Happy to say I have become a Croc-a-holic.

I just got a pair of the flip flops today. I was thinking about taking them on our trip in a couple of weeks, as a back up.

I recently bought crocs for our entire family- the regular kind that goes over the top and has the holes in it/etc. but for myself I ALSO purchased the flipflops. Let me tell you- on our recent trip to WDW and the cruise- I wore the flipflops way more often. Simply because to me they were more comfortable but also the regular crocs were giving me blisters! (yes, blisters... right at the part on the inside of my ankle where my bone sticks out right where the plastic rivet is inside the croc there holding on the "strap" part of that shoe- and also eventually I got blisters on the top of my foot where it rubbed right on the edge of where the top of the crocs shoes ended on the top of my foot). The flipflops- no blisters... pure comfort.

I did wear the regular crocs when at the park because I could flip the strap part over the back of my foot and wear them like shoes and not have to remove them or anything (like thinking some rides might have you remove flipflops- although I do not know that to be the case.. it is here at Six Flags so I wasn't sure about WDW too) and the first time at the beach at CC I wore the regular ones.. the 2nd time at CC I wore the flipflops- much better. I knew all those holes in the regular crocs would just allow sand in but difficult getting the sand out without removing the shoes. LOL

Both were comfortable as far as the "sole" part of the crocs. :) I'm thinking of buying more of the flipflop crocs because they are so comfortable- and knowing my luck the health nutrition store that sells them here will stop selling them later. That always happens- anything I end up loving I have a hard time finding again later on.. so I need to stock up. LOL

I got my flip flops AFTER our WDW trip in February....I wore the Beach Crocs all day, every day to the parks w/ NO problems (and, I wear them almost every day to work - nothing like having happy feet!!!).

When I first got the flip flops, I thought hmmmm, they kinda feel weird. But, you have to figure that I am not usually one to wear flip flops! I got used to them and wear them ALL the time on the weekends, regardless of if they match what i'm wearing. I wear them way more than the Beach style on the weekends (and if I could wear THOSE to work too, I would in a heartbeat). When I bought them I thought I would never wear them in WDW, but now that I'm used to them I really think they'd be fine. I think you should definitely get some wear out of them BEFORE you go. They're great. I was just on Crocs' website today and they have a NEW style - they're called "Skutes". VERY cool. Oh man, now I'm gonna have to buy another paid. DH will kill me! :)

I haven't worn my Athens yet in a park, but I wear them every day and they are the most comfortable shoes ever! I am going to Disneyland on the 22nd and plan on taking all 4 pairs of my Crocs (2 Athens and 2 beach). I'm going to start the first day with my Athens and see how my feet feel! I am hoping they will work out just fine!!!

I was thinking about getting the Nile version - just like the look better. Any experience with those?

My Niles are currently on eBay. For some reason, the heel straps were just too big and flopped around on me (I have narrow heels).

I have three pairs of the BEACH shoes and love them. Stylewise, I like the Athens better. However, I think my Niles are too big, too. I bought an 8 (I wear an 8.5) but they seem really long and my heel doesn't hit in the right place. So they're fine for around the house and at the mall (three hours yesterday). I tried on a size 7 yesterday, and they were too narrow...

Think I'll just stick to my Beaches for the parks and the Athens for home. I'm too afraid to try them for all-day wear.
