Hi, we were planning a vow renewal with a Disney theme. We were all going to dress like a Disney character. I had thought a lot of brides would think off this because so many kids like dressing up Disney. But most Disney brides seem to have a traditional wedding and do more of a Mickey Mouse theme instead of Disney movies. So now I'm unsure if our idea is even "legal" at WDW. Our 7 yo DS will be Jack Sparrow the best man. 5 yo DD will be Cinderella the maid of honor. 2 1/2 yo DD will be Tinkerbell the flower girl (I thought it would be cute if she had glitter in her basket to sprinkle pixie dust). They'll all be wearing real costumes (Disney licensed). I found a bright yellow poofy skirt/Cinderella type dress, that is reminiscent of Belle. And DH will wear an Indian mens outfit, reminiscent of Alladin. We're Indian so obviously no guest will think I'm an actual cast member. But I thought it would be a great picture to take with all of us as different characters.
I know Disney has a strict policy against costumes in the parks, but not resorts right? And they are fine with all kids wearing costumes, even in the parks right?
Does anyone know of any other wedding party that has incorporated being Disney characters into the actual ceremony?
Thanks,
Jil
