Are Compliments Important?

Genuine compliments are very important in any relationship! I give them freely - if deserved

I have a harder time receiving them - do not get me wrong..I love to hear nice things but it is hard for me to accept it as truth....

Absolutely! With a significant other, it helps me feel closer to them. Something so small can make a big difference. AND GUYS...it doesn't cost any money!

At work is another great place. My former boss used to be so appreciative...for quite a while, each day before I left she would thank me. I left with a grin on my face. When I did something she particularly liked or was pleased with, a little compliment from her went a long way. I have to admit that towards the end of my time on that job, those things had been gone for quite a while. And I'm sure it lead to my feeling unappreciated and my leaving!

No matter who it is, it doesn't take much and can mean a whole lot.
